CCI Week #7 - Happy Birthday Imagine!
It's the first birthday of the Cricut Imagine!
To celebrate this over at Creative Critterz Imaginations we are doing an all birthday themed week. For my project I made this fun little circus party set.
First off, I made a little circus tent as a table decoration.
To make the tent I printed a full sheet of the stripes from Imagine Best Friends. I cut this sheet in half and then trimmed one inch to make a 5"x12" sheet. I adhered the ends together to form a circle. For the top of the tent I selected the stock circle from the Imagine machine, filled it with the yellow hatch pattern from Best Friends and then selected fit to page.
Once cut, I lightly folded the circle in half and then in half again to find the center of the circle and the unfolded the circle. Using a craft knife and a ruler I cut a straight line from the center to the edge. I then overlapped the ends to from the cone for the top of the tent. I cut a plain white second circle and cut 4 wedges from it and added them to the top of the tent. I finshed it off with a corsage pin with some purple ribbon for a flag.
The tent is placed on a painted styrofoam circle. The edges of the circle are covered with the grass border from Paper Doll Dress Up. The tent is then surrounded by all the little circus animals from Birthday Bash and Create a Critter.
I also made a little postcard style party invite and cupcake topper.
And finally a little clown treat box (Because this clown isn't scary like most of them.....) from Wrap It Up.
Supplies:
White AC Cardstock
CTMH Happy Birthday and Journaling Jots stamp set, Hydrangea Ink
Bakers twine
