A 10-Minute Organizational Project (and a bonus card)

Hey there!

I was in my scrap room today working on some projects for the design team at A Jillian Vance Design. I was using some her great {die}signs Custom Dies by Spellbinders and decided I needed a better way to store my dies. I've had them in a envelope and every time I need one, I end up dumping them all on the table, finding what I need, then putting them back in the envelope. I had a clip board sitting on the table and decided to add some magnets to it and then I could stick my dies there. But why just leave it plain when I've got gorgeous Graphic 45 paper in my stash? So I whipped this up in about 10 minutes using 1 sheet of 12x12 paper!

Not too bad looking, huh? This is a random sheet of Graphic 45's BotanicaBella line from a couple of years ago. Why I had two of this sheet and nothing else I have no idea. I covered the board with the paper, using the pattern on the back side for the top section. I covered that seam with some plain black, satin ribbon that I ran through my Xyron.

At the top of the board I added some Tim Holtz Fanicful Buttons and a two of the cards from the paper that I crumpled and inked to age them. Since I have no intention of using the clip other than to hang the board this was good way to add a fun element to the project.

I had these magnet strips in a drawer so I cut them to size and hot glued them to the board. Yes, I know it says they are adhesive - either Elmer's lies, or I've had these a really, REALLY long time. I'm better it's the latter.

And here I have added all my fun dies from A Jillian Vance Design. The {die}velope Photo Frames dies on the top left and the Zipper {die}vice die on the bottom right are her newest sets. There aren't any like them anywhere else! I'm working on projects with both of those that you'll be able to see here in a couple of weeks.

And here was have it hanging on the wall over my work table. I can easily reach up and grab the die I need instead of sorting through a mess! Thanks for stopping by!

And since I was on such a roll with the whole 10-minute project thing I decided to try Graphic 45's 10-Minute Card Challenge for July. Here is my entry following their sketch.
