Spring Flowers

Hello!

I was just sitting here and realized that I hadn't written my post for my project this week at A Jillian Vance Design! So I will apologize for the quality of the pictures - it was kind of a rush job! My project has been done for days I was waiting for nice, non-windy day to take pics outside. So instead I had to settle for my kitchen table at 9:30 on a Wednesday night!

Our theme this week was flowers and I really wanted to do a 3-D project. I used the Tim Holtz Sizzix Tattered Florals Die to make my flowers. I cut them from a solid yellow cardstock and again from a patterned  yellow. I inked half of them with CTMH Buttercup ink and the other half with Tim Holtz Vintage Rose Distress Stain.  I arranged all these in this adorable watering can from SVG Attic's Welcome Spring set.

I hand cut a little tag and stamped this cute sentiment from A Jillian Vance Design's In the Garden stamp set.  I attached it with some Melon Trendy Twine.

I inked the watering can with a combination of Tim Holtz Distress Inks in Tea Dye, Vintage Photo, and Faded Burlap. I wanted to give it a rusty look.

New Stamp Sets at A Jillian Vance Design

Happy Friday!

As you know, this week we've been giving sneak peeks of the stamp releases at A Jillian Vance Design. Today, I have a recap of my projects and some details on the new stamp sets! There are six new stamp sets and 3 brand new custom Spellbinders Dies.

Perfect Day
Perfect Day fits the Spellbinders Standard Circles die or the 3 inch Circle punch.  Great for journaling pages too.

Charming Occasions Stamp Set

{die}lightfully Charming Circle

Charming Occasions  is designed around our {die}lightfully Charming Circle die or it will also fit a 1  1/2 circle punch.  They celebrate Everyday Occasions!
{die}lightfully Charming Circle Die coordinates with our Charming Occasions Stamp set.  You can also use any of the stamp sets that coordinate with the Epiphany Crafts Round 25 shape such as A {Little} Love and Type Star Font Stamp sets.

Whimsical Journey

Whimsical Journey
Mini Whimsical Balloons
These two Hot Air Balloon Stamp sets were inspired by a sweet lady and turned out "better than she ever expected!!"  They were so fun to do!  They coordinate with our Emerald Cut {die}mond Nested Die set and the sentiments fit the {die}namic Duo also.  On the Mini Whimsical Balloon set, the bottom right hand corner image is a Make Your Own Balloon (check out Bunny's Card yesterday)! Just add a 2 inch circle and that small line to create your own balloon.  Or make it 3D by adding three circles layered together.  Just two FUN sets!  That fit a variety of occasions!

Every Day Flags

Everyday Flags
This stamp set coordinates with our {die}licious Flag Set,  see those dotted lines around the flag stamps?  Those are  die placement lines.  You center your die within those lines and it should cut perfectly ~ we use removable tape to hold it in place. and those words will fit with the flag folded in half.  Also the icons will fit the Endless Borders stamp set shown below! and also the Epiphany Crafts Round 14 as well as in the circles of the Flags.

{die}licious Flag Set
Coordinates with Everyday Flags Stamp set and can be used soooo many ways!  Add the pole for a flatter layer or use a tooth pick or a stick pin from the jewelry making department.  Or fold over twine or ribbon to create a banner or use as it for a sentiment lay which a lot of our previous stamp sets fit!

{die}luxe Jewelry Tags
These {die}luxe Jewelry Tags are sooo cute!  They coordinate with several of our sets that have little words such as Peepster and A {Little}Love.

Whimsical Balloons - Sneak Peak Day 4!

Hi there!

Today is sneak peek day four at A Jillian Vance Design and today we are previewing the Whimsical Journey and Mini Whimsical Balloon stamp sets. Yes, sets - we have two different sets and both are filled with some great sentiments!

I decided to do two things on this card I haven't done in a long time: coloring and an acetate card base.

The large balloon comes from the Whimsical Journey set. The clouds, smaller balloon, and sentiments are from Mini Whimsical Balloons. I colored both balloons and accented the clouds with Close To My Heart Watercolor Pencils. I did a lot pf fussy cutting and mounted the large balloon and larger clouds on the front of my acetate card base.

I stamped my first sentiment on one of the clouds and then accented it with a silver glitter pen to make it stand out.

Inside I have the small balloon and clouds and my second sentiment that is hidden behind a cloud when the card is closed.

Sneak Peek Week Day Two - Perfect Day Stamps

Hello!

Today is the second day of our sneak peek week over at A Jillian Vance Design. Today we are previewing the Perfect Day stamp set and I also added our new Endless Borders stamps as well.

Today I made a layout - which as you all know I NEVER do! (And it has no picture because I couldn't find one I wanted to use. And I realized that I'm always wearing sunglasses in my pictures. What's up with that?)

This stamp set just screamed layout to me. As soon as I saw it knew what I was going to do with it this week.

It comes with this great journaling spot and a ton of little sentiments to go with it.

Our new endless borders are great because you can stamp as long or as short of a border as you need and they go together seamlessly.

I used a little Tim Holtz Memo Pin wrapped with some bakers twine to hold the journaling spot.

And there you have it! Be sure to check back tomorrow for more peeks at our new stamps!

Sneak Peek Week Day One

Hey!

This week at A Jillian Vance Design we are doing some sneak peeks of our new stamps that will be released on Friday! Today we are previewing our Charming Occasions stamp set.

This set has some great sentiments! I just loved this little smiley face this weekend and knew I needed to use it.

The background on my card is our new Quatrefoil background stamp. Because this stamp doesn't have any borders you can stamp and stamp and cover as much space as you need.

I stamped my sentiment on paper from the Cosmo Cricket Nutmeg paper pad.

Time again for another project using A Jillian Vance Design! This week we are making Easter themed projects so I decided to make a little treat bag (With no candy because I forgot to buy any at the store last night!)

For this project I used the Peepster stamp set and the Easter Egg Treat Bags set from SVG Cuts.

This is a very easy set to assemble and would be great if you needed to make a lot of these. And adding stamps from A Jillian Vance Design always adds a little something extra!

A Simple Journal

Hello!

I have a quick, easy project for your today. I was part of a secret sister swap on the Cricut message board and decided to make a journal for my secret sister in her colors.

This was a journal I found at a local bookstore. I pulled apart the binding and took the covers off to cover them. I lightly inked the front with Red Brick Distress Ink and inked the edges with Black Soot.

The monogram in the center is done with Elegant Edges and Songbird. I cut the back of the frame from both black cardstock and Tim Holtz Grunge Board. **A tip: If using Grunge Board in the Cricut be sure and use your deep cut blade....I learned the hard way!

The Grunge Board gave the monogram a little more strength. I then used pop dots to give the layers some dimension.

Supplies:

Journal
Tim Holtz Grunge Board
Tim Holtz Red Brick and Black Soot Distress Ink
Black Stickles
Paper: Recollections, Bo Bunny
Cartridges: Songbird, Elegant Edges

A Recipe Box

Hello!

For my project this week for A Jillian Vance Design I decided to make a recipe box using the Totally Titles stamp set.

This stamp set is so versatile. I was not in a card-making mood this week and decided to use it for an altered project instead. The base for this project is a Cosmo Cricket Blackboard Box I had lying around. I covered it with Cosmo Cricket Garden Variety paper.

I used the stamp on one of the cardstock stickers that came in the set. Since the stamp in the set just says "Recipe" I inked just the S from another stamp in the set to spell "Recipes".

I used my Epiphany Crafts Round 25 tool to make these little stickers into epoxy embellishments.

And there you have it!
