Au Revoir

Happy Thursday!

Today is my day for the design team at A Jillian Vance Design. Yes, more washi tape....I'm on a roll this month!

Today I'm working with the Bonjour Paris stamp set and was inspired by something I found on Pinterest to make this card.

I wove my three colors of washi tape together and then stamped my image over the top with black Staz-On. I then embossed the image with clear embossing powder. It has kind of a cool effect!

Happy Birthday Bunny!

Good morning!

Today is Bunny, Jillian's mom, of A Jillian Vance Design's birthday! All of us on the design team made birthday cards and I've got a quick post to share mine with you.

I did a simple slider card using the Basically Birthdays Stamp Set and the Foto Frames Stamp Set along with the small {die}velop Foto Frames Die and some paper from October Afternoon.

I decorated the little cupcake with some puff paint and some Smooch paints.

When you pull the little tab you get the different sentiments. It's very simple to put together - I followed this tutorial.

Many Thanks

Happy Thursday!

It's design team day at A Jillian Vance Design. I'm loving the washi tape so I have another super simple washi tape card. This time I used the new Many Thanks stamp set and the {die}namic Fancy Label Die.

I added three rows of washi tape with a strip down the side. I then added my sentiment stamped on my Fancy Label.

A Little More Valentine's Love

Happy Valentine's Day!

Since I didn't want to ruin any surprises to my husband and family I held off on posting all my Valentine's crafts until tonight. I was a crafting fool last weekend and between Friday night and Sunday morning I managed to knock out 4 3-D SVG Cuts projects, 8 small SVG Cuts treats, 8 Print and Cut cards using graphics from Lettering Delights, 3 cards using SVG Cuts kits, one card inspired by Pinterest, two other cards inspired by a non-card project on Pinterest, and one card using the Cricut.

That smell? Oh, that's just my cutting machines......Possibly the baby.....

So rather than go into a lot of detail I'm just going to show you the pictures and list products and leave it at that! Have a wonderful day!

First up is this card that made in duplicate for my parents and my husband from the Sweet Baby. I used Fancy Pants Design Love Notes paper and some Fancy Pants Design buttons I've had in my stash for ages. This was inspired by a non-card project on Pinterest, I thought it would be fun to make it into a card.

How much fun is it to stamp a wiggly 4 1/2 month old's footprints? It's not. But I got two good sets!

I made duplicates of this card as well for sisters. It's from SVG Cuts Sweets For My Sweet Kit. I also used a Heart 25 bubble cap from Epiphany Crafts. Paper is from K&Company - because for some reason that is the only Valentines paper I could find in my stash.

This is another SVG Cuts project. They have a set of 24 mini-cards that are darling and take about 5 minutes to put together. I sized these slightly bigger than the default size. These are for my two nephews. I stamped them with A Jillian Vance Design Sending My Love stamp set and K&Company for the paper again.

This card was for my parents from SVG Cuts For My Valentine kit. I used Pink Paislee London Market paper. It's not really Valentine's paper but it's beautiful and gave it more of a vintage look.

I did this assortment of Print and Cut valentines using my Silhouette Studio Designer Edition software and graphics from Lettering Delights. I used their Hogs and Kisses graphic set and Frogs and Kisses graphic set along with background papers from the Silhouette Store. I cut them out with the paper trimmer and attached them to some red cardstock. These were from the Sweet Baby to his aunts, grandparents and cousins.

And then, because I'm a crazy person, I made 4 of the chocolate covered strawberry boxes from SVG Cuts Sweets For My Sweet kit. These I filled with candy for my parents, sisters and my husband.

And this is where the card for my husband would be if I'd remembered to take a picture of it. Which I didn't. But it was inspired by this project from Cricut that I found on Pinterest. I used my eClips because it's just easier to use....and honestly eCAL doesn't tend to make me as mad as Craft Room.

Finally, the card for the Sweet Baby's very first Valentine's Day. I used my Cricut and the Create a Critter 2 cartridge.

Happy Birthday Pam!

It's me again.....

Today is Pam at Pam's Purple Loft's birthday! Pam is one of the designers at A Jillian Vance Design. We all made her cards for her birthday and I'm sharing mine with you.

And yes, I used washi tape....again......I'm addicted! Now if I could just find the cool organizer that Michael's sells I could quit having to dump them out of my little basket every time I want one. But I digress....

For my card I used the Basically Birthdays Stamp Set. I used the long die from the {die}namic Duo Die Set to stamp my sentiment. I then stamped one of the small cupcake circles and cut out the cupcake and added it to my label with a pop dot. I embellished the card with some bling.

Inside it just a simple sentiment from the Basically Birthdays stamp set.

Always & Forever

Happy Valentine's Day!

It's Thursday so that means it's design team day at A Jillian Vance Design. Today I have a quick and easy final Valentine's card for you. I have a ton of washi tape that I found in cleaning my craft room so I decided to use it for my card. I also added a stamp from Jillian's A {Little} Love Stamp Set.

I overlaid rows of the washi tape on a black card base. I accented them with some pink heart gems and a little washi flower. (Sorry for the pics-I have a new DSLR and I'm still getting used to it!)

On the top corner of the card I stamped my image and sentiment in white ink and then embossed it with clear, sparkly embossing powder to highlight the details.

Howdy Grandpa!

It's Friday!

Is it just me or did this week drag? Seriously, I had my days all mixed up for no apparent reason.....Ugh!

So yesterday was my Dad's birthday (Happy Birthday Dad!), so I have two cards to share with you today.

Up first is my card from the Sweet Baby. I used October Afternoon's Sidewalks paper and the Happy Trails SVG Kit from SVG Cuts. I made the little cowboy blonde and blue-eyed like Nick.

Using a pen and the eClips I wrote my little sentiment on an extra star.

Inside I did the same thing for my note.

For my second card I used SVG Cuts' Ice Cream Birthday Kit. I used paper from Echo Park's Splash kit from a couple of years ago. For the lettering I used October Afternoon Sticky Keys for the front and the letters from the Echo Park kit inside.

A Treat for Your Sweet

Happy Thursday!

This week at A Jillian Vance Design we are showcasing Valentine's treats. Today I have a little hanging cone filled with Hershey Kisses.

This is actually a free file from SVG Cuts. This is their Christmas Cone Hanging Ornament. I used paper from October Afternoon's Woodland Park collection. I added the circle charm with A Jillian Vance Design's {die}lightfully Charming Circle Die and stamped it with her Sending My Love Stamp Set. I attached it to my crinkle ribbon with a Pear Pin.

I accented the stamped image with a red sparkly gel pen.

To get the repeating look on my tag I stamped the sentiment in several rows on a scrap of paper. I lined it up so that when I punched out my circle to layer on the tag the sentiment was centered.

Overall, this whole project took about 10 minutes!

Another Bad Birthday Pun...But a Cute Shaker Card!

Good morning!

So I told my husband that this year was the year of bad birthday puns. He had the little plane card and now one involving fish....but it came out really cute!

I created my card base using to basic circles in eCAL and then sized it to be slightly larger than the Porthole SVG file from SVG Cuts. This is actually a free file that was released last spring. SVG Cuts releases a new, free file each week and they are archived on their website.

I cut the center part of the porthole twice out of a clear overhead projector sheet. I bought a box of these a couple of years ago at Office Depot and they cut beautifully. I added some Rain Drop epoxy stickers to simulate water droplets to the outside of my porthole. I sandwiched the coral from SVG Cuts Wet N Wild SVG Kit in between the two clear pieces when I built my shaker.

Inside the little fish and shells are also from the Wet N Wild SVG Kit

I "wrote" the sentiment with my eClips using the pen holder accessory and a Tim Holtz Distress Marker.

"Plane" Birthday Fun

Hey there!

I'm on a roll this week - Post #3! Actually, there are two birthdays in my family at the beginning of February so I'm usually in card mode right about now. And with the addition of Nick I'm now making double the cards. Good thing I had some awesome inspiration!

Here is my double-sided Print and Cut birthday card!

A HUGE shout-out to Jin at Under A Cherry Tree for the inspiration and tutorial on how to make this awesomeness happen. It never occurred to me that it was possible. It's actually not as hard as it sounds. I'm not going to try and explain it here....just go check out Jin's card for a full tutorial.

I did this card as the card for my husband from our little boy. I actually put his hand print inside after I took the pictures. For the plane I used a cut file from the Silhouette Store that I filled in with patterns to use the Print and Cut feature. That gave me the ability to paper piece the card to give it some dimension but it could still have been cute to have done it entirely as one piece.
