Pirate Birthday Party

This will be quick....

For my nephew's 6th birthday I did a few party things...

A treasure chest treat box....

A birthday banner! This came from the Life's a Party cartridge. It's actually the skull card with the skull removed and the skull from A Frightful Affair sliced into the top layer. Lettering is from the Cutting Up cartridge.

And finally....a giant treasure map! The finished size on this was 24x24. I used the map from the Life's a Party cartridge. I sized it up to 24x24 and then used the slice function to cut it into pieces that could be cut on the Cricut. Check out this tutorial from Crafts by Two to see how to easily size up an image bigger than what the Cricut can cut. We hid the pieces of the map around the yard and they had to find each piece to get the next clue. The kids loved it!

Fantastic! It was lovely coming across this post. I was already looking for some good ideas for my son’s birthday celebration. This year I will not be able to host it at my place because of the house renovation but I have booked a beautiful event space for the party.
