CCI Design Team Project #1 - Critter Cuteness Cards

Happy Friday!

Here is my first project for the Creative Critterz Imaginations design team! This week our challenge was to create a "Critter Cuteness Card". Totally easy! One of my favorite cartridges is Create A Critter!

For this project I decided to make a set of cards. I made four 3"x3" cards, all stored in a small box that I have also covered with paper printed with the Cricut Imagine.

Here are the supplies for today's project:
First off, I laid out the entire project using my Gypsy. Using the Gypsy makes it easier to design with multiple cartridges whether you are using the Imagine or the Cricut Expression.
For my card bases I used Just Because Cards and found a square card base that I sized to 3x3. Since I flood filled these with patterns from two different cartridges, when you go to print and cut, the Imagine will ask you insert the Imagine cartridge you are using for your project.

Once everything was printed and cut, I inked the edges with TH Distress Antique Linen and layered the animals. I scored and folded the card bases and attached the animals. I cut a scalloped piece and stamped my sentiment. I edged each sentiment with Diamond Stickles and adhered it to the front of the card with pop dots. I finished off the cards with some bakers twine.

The small envelopes are from Joann's and stamped on the front.

Since these cards are a set that I am giving to a friend as a gift I decided to cover a small jewelry gift box to put the cards in. I printed to two squares using patterns from Elise and adhered them to the box. I finished it off with some Recollections bling and a butterfly. All the cards and their envelopes fit inside.

And because I love pictures....here are a few more of the individual cards! Be sure and check back every Friday for my latest design team project - and during the week for other things I may be working on!
